erm...how about making a chum mix up of all the freezer baits that are past their best. Chop 'em up into little cubes, bag them up the night before so they thaw. When at the water ball up the chum mix with crumb into big grapefruit size balls. Chuck into swim. Sit back and hopefully the crumb attracts in the small bait fish and the chopped fish gets the pike in feeding mode. Beep beep and we're off... Laughing hopefully...

Don`t mind if i fish just downstream of ya do ya? lol!

My mate and i are hoping to make it, but 9 is a little late for us, if the missus is gonna give me the ok to go fishing i wanna make the most of it, lol. Does anyone mind if we go early, i don`t want to upset anyone by taking up any pegs which people might want, if there is any preferred pegs for you lot, let me know and we`ll avoid em. It`s not a problem if ya all wanna meet and start fishing together, we`ll just have a couple of hours elsewhere with the lures before we meet. No problem. (just to clarify, we ARE fishing and meeting ABOVE the weir aren`t we?)

Can't tell you exact depth but it ranges from about 5ft to about 8ft or even more in some pegs !!
The best thing is to plumb the depth when you get there as no peg has the same depth !!

Well 11 of us turned up, great to meet you guys, it was cold but we stuck at it, the crack was good, as usual, but the fish were not having it, even Patch blanked, well he did up untill 3.00 p.m when i left, just one of those days, Ady never got chance of any barges or boats, and Kell may post a photograph of a fish he caught a year ago today Shocked All in all a day worth doing, new mates made and old ones verbally abused lol! lol! See you on the next one!
