nearly fishing time for me

I am off out piking at 1pm today until dark, roll on. See if I can catch me some more big pike

Well, I got to my chosen venue at 12:30pm and got one deadbait rig out using sardines as bait just like in my last succesful session. then I set up my lure rod with my favourite lure and started chucking it about in the lake hoping for a bite, unfortunatly that didnt happen . Even more unfortunatly just as I was casting out my bail arm snapped shut and my favourite lure went through the air like a guided missile, it was a cast I would have been proud of..............if the line was still attached

A bit later on I decided I was having no luck with the sardines so I changed the bait for smelt, half hour later I got a small run and reeled in a 4lb pike (didnt get pics though, soz)

About an hour later I had another run but missed it

at 6:30pm its was freezing cold and dark so I packed up and came home to warm myself up with beer

Yes it was the same place, same spot too. I may try a different spot next time I play there
