Boats on lakes.
Is there anywhere I can hire a small boat and fish out on a lake for the day?
its just something i fancy doing but am struggling to find venues

ooh Hornsea Mere looks ace and its only a mile from the seaside. could make a good weekend away with a mixture of sea and freshwater fishing. Thanks for the info tootall

I've fished Hornsea Mere (spinning) from the banks 3 times and from a hired boat once.
It's where I got my personal worst pike which was only just bigger than the lure used
Never caught from the boat but had 3 pike in total from there.
I'm hoping to go back there this year.

with a bit of luck ill be on there i a few weeks not cheap but worth it

nice place gets a lot of attention in winter some huge fish in there freind of afreind got 38lb pike on fly few years back it towed his boat about for about fifteen minutes
