I've had a word with Phil Johnson from Tyram Fisheries to let him know you are planning a trip on Thursday 11th December. Phil says £6 lets you fish up to 3 rods in the specimen lake. You MAY be able to fish the syndicate lake but it will depend on the number of carp members on the lake on the day. I suggest you meet in the cafe and discuss the best places to fish with Phil.

Regards

Andy Webster

I've just read and commented on his post.

It's starting to get a scary old world now. You just don't feel safe anymore in your job. My job is only short term contract until 19th December and then I got nothing until 3rd January and that's only if I want it. But doing that means all the travelling and being away from my family all over again.

i would've been tempted to come down for thursday 11th dec but work wont allow it... if you guys plan another trip at a weekend i may be up for it though Very Happy

also, lefty i know how hard it is being away from your family mate, i did it myself for 6 months over christmas last year and it nearly destroyed me emotionally. do yourself a favour though... get a local job if you plan on quitting cos the dole wont cover much fishing or pay the bills lol... chin up mate

Cheers robh.

It's been a crap couple of months workwise and I only took this job to get me through to New Year. It's doing exactly the same job as I was back home but with the company that bought us out.

They were going to stay in Doncaster but what with the current economic climate they decided to keep the manufacturing, order picking and distribution together in their current warehouse instead of investing in another one.

I more than likely will have another short term contract with them after New Year but don't know if I could do with all the travelling and staying away from the family.

Cut halfway through the top of the head of the lamprey, cut the last inch off the end off the tail, slice the lamprey down one flank diagonally every 2 inches or so and puncture the belly several times and then put your hooks On the unblemished side. Basically your releasing juice from every possible part that can create an 'attractive' odour.

(PS: I do this with most baits)
