homemade floats and ledger moulds

hi all have just made my first batch of floats even managed a few self cocking ones mainly pike ones from balsa but im very happy with them.also made a mould for ledger weights they have turned out fine as well .1oz/2oz 3oz alot of trail and error to get weights as close as i could seem fine and weight is ok just wondered who makes what and how good night all

have made noddie floats out of straws before mate brought some ledgers back from mexico that where a wierd shape but never moved in the current fishing scottish lochs they were handy trying to think of how to make a mould

I also now make my own balsa deadbait floats - i'll put some pics up when i get chance...no where near as good as what i bought off the professional float maker, but they are fine for my piking needs Smile

8-9" of 3/4 inch balsa dowelling with a small screw eye fixed in with epoxy - 2 coats of white gloss followed by 2 coats on top half of flouro orange. Couple of coats of clear varnish and jobs a good un. Can make about a dozen for around £5 Smile
