Sue has put on Cellars website today that we are going on the 31st and the lake is closed to all other anglers so we have the place to ourself Very Happy

12 is a good number for Cellars so even if we don't add anyone else it would be good as there will be a couple of spare pegs if anyone wants to change pegs for any reason Wink

thanks adie, Laughing

well give cellars members a months notice, that we are closing the lake for your fish in, told them they are welcome to come down for a cuppa, and a chat.. but you should have the place to yourselves. Wink

brekkers is sorted, master chef sir micheal of the barbie will doing the honours, Laughing Laughing and I'll be on tea & coffee. and maybe a muffin or 2 Laughing . bas surgested hot dogs and onions Idea but some folk dont like them,
we will do our best to make you well fed, cant guarentee a pike, Rolling Eyes I wish we could, but can say a warm welcolme to our little fishery.

fingers and toes are crossed that someone catches, after all we don't have the best record -Mr French apart- but really, meeting the guys again, along with some new lads, will be great.

there's been many heated debates on the bank about the contour map, the depths are not correct.
the guys have walked the lake in the water, yes in the water, we have also netted it twice,!! and the map is'nt spot on with the depths. everthing else is ok.and I myself have been in a number of times, and it is deeper than you think !!!!. fell in twice, and waded out a number of times in waders to help out.
a few pike out this weekend but nothing to shout about the biggest was 12lb plus a pb for caroline who caught it.
the smallest a jack about 5lb.

thanks adie, the guy was a very happy camper Laughing he had a 14lb in the afternoon, seen him land that one, but did'nt take a pic as it was'nt massive, he had a 12lb the night before in total over 2 nights he had 5 pike. the 26 being the biggest, the only reason we were on hand to take the picture, the 2 guys from the gun club were there hunting the mink, so came down to walk them round, make them a cuppa, etc, but to be honest I had enough by 9-30 been there best part of the day, and left steve there to answer any questions. so he may have caught more Exclamation Laughing
