can anybody fish hornsea mere or do you need to be a member of a club...or whatever

wanted to go there sunday

James, Hi pal, im sure the mere is on the pike waters page. One of the last few to have some info written about it. you should be sorted if tou check it out, cheers craig.

thanks mate just been looking is it worth going out on the boat or staying on land

Never been mate if you pretty close to there , it may be worth a walk round. Size the situation up.

Day ticket mate.

Boat hire is optional but i would recommend it. Its a massive water but shallow nearly everywhere.
I think its about £20 for the day.
I would take some shallow working lures with you and head over to the island area which tends to be the most productive (as is the reedy bay directly opposite where you get the boats when spawning times geting closer).

Static deads also work but obviously you are limiting yourself to the ammount of water you can cover. Personally if i was going down this route i would stick to the reedy marginal areas.

Bank fishing is limited to the rh bank away from the car park, but it gets heavy pressure.

Oh and if you spot any big carp let me know lol - rumour has it there has been more than 1 40 out recently Cool
