live bait rigs

Hi all had a go to day live baiting with no luck jst wondering if any1 cn give me any help as with float fished rigs and how far off the bottom they should be fished

Depends in how deep the water is my locals ten foot at the lenge n i fish lives about eight n that works for me, but if its deep water i wouldn't b 2 foot off the bottom as its not that cold yet

dont use live baits anymore but when i did i fished them about 6inch of the bottom suspended under a float
