crimp or twist ??
do you prefer to twist the trace wire or crimp it ??
ive tried both and i prefer to crimp with the fox predator crimping pliers. they get a great hold and have never had one fail yet. i also now use the fox crimp rubber sleeves to make a neater job, and they seem to stop tangles.
let us know what you all prefer.

Re: crimp or twist ??
Both but here goes a crimp done correctly is strogner than a twist on the same wire.
But put that into perspective if lets say a crimp knocks off 5% of the linear strength and twisting 10 then a 30lb wire thats crimped would break at 28.5lb and the twisted one 27.

Same as Andy on this one. I crimp ma coated wire and twist ma normal drennan. Tend to use coated wire for uptraces try to get a little longer out of ma traces...... Not a stingy jock or nowt
Then use uncoated wire for the busness end as it usualy only last 1 maybe 2 fish anyway. Bloody jacks are the worst for murdering traces but they all count.
