Re: anybody catching
I attended a PAC talk by Mark Barret and Denis Moules last night, and almost all the guys I spoke to are in the main having simmilar results, most put it down to the weather conditions being up and down like a fiddlers elbow.doug6364 wrote:There seems to be loads of us who have blanked for 4 times or so, like me again today.
Well done Hurricane, gonna be my turn to catch next time i,m out ............hopefully !!
By the way guys if any talk shows are arranged in your area its well worth going along,It"s normaly only a few quid and a nominal extra charge for non members.
They are nearly always entertaining and informative, although the guest speakers will rarely give away exact locations they are more than happy to talk methods and rigs with anyone who asks.

hurricane wrote:Well after 4 consecutive blank sessions on the syndicate water,a day on the river was in order, fish wise it was not brilliant.
5 of us fished a variety of baits and methods and I managed a fish of about 8lb to break my run and another lad had one about 6 before he"d got his second rod cast and an 11.5 just before dusk.
As always,a great day out with the best company an angler could wish for, catching a few fish is just the iceing on the cake as far as I"m concerned.
Well in Peter, a fish is a fish mate.

just use them ( sardines ) from frozen RP, cause they are way to soft to cast properly. I,m sure you knew that, lot of people dont though, so wasnt trying to be a smart a@%" !

When using sardine's, dead baiting, I use bait elastic, to hold the bait on. Even when frozen they can still come off on casting.
