update from the dee Perch10
1 pike today, freezing conditions, probably a scrapper double, nice suprise in the way of a 3lb 2oz perch to a 5" dace livebait.plenty of bait fish coming out on the Dee,but an early start required to get a peg.well happy with the perch,as its been a long time since ive had a perch that size.

There are some good fish to be caught on the free stretch, especially at this time of year, ive witnessed and helped land and unhook a few 20lb+ fish over the years, but my best fish has been just under 19lb.They are there to be caught but like everything you have to put the effort in,i will keep plugging away as thats my goal to catch a river 20.To be honest its just nice to be out fishing sometimes, and forget the rat race.

Thats a great result mate, well done.
Size of fish don"t bother me much but would dearly love a perch of 4lb or more.
We had Martin Bowler down for a PAC talk and he showed the stills of the perch from "Catching" Awsome looking fish.
