Re: fishing in the rain
on the majority of waters i fish if it rains and the rain water is colder than the lake/river water it completely kills it...but vice-versa if the opposite conditions apply.
I find it to be true of snow melt water etc too.

Re: fishing in the rain
Doesnt really bother me too much fishing in the rain, as long as i,m set up beforehand.
the other week i fished a new lake that i found. it hammered down and the rain was horizontal with the strong winds blowing. had a take in the middle of it. a 6lb er. not much fun to be honest though.

Rain....kiss of death if you ask me. Mind you, I've caught some right good fish in those little spells where the rain goes off. I once did an article on pike fishing in the rain and I explained all my thoughts as to why this might be the case but you'll have to use Google to try and find it. Had something to do with lateral lines and inner ears.
