Lancaster Canal

The Pike Angler's Club have now assumed control of the canal from Preston up to Hest Bank just north of Lancaster and including the Glasson arm and the Glasson Dock. PAC bailiffs will soon be patrolling this canal, they will all carry ID and they WILL NOT be asking anyone for any money on the bank. If anyone asks you for money on the bank do not pay but instead contact the police - he will be bogus.

Regulars should continue to fish the canal as normal, a bailiff will eventually come along and will issue you with an application form to send off with your payment and get your permit.

Hopefully the poles will be stopped longlining in glasson my mate has found several with dead pike on.There is also a local twerp been taking them for the table

Been looking in to fishing there has anyone been catching well recently??

Pike fishing will be restricted to lures only during the summer months. I have two reports, a 20lb+ fish was witnessed two weeks ago and two fish were caught and killed by persons unknown last week
