Re: water wolf christmas prezzy
This was going to be a spring purchase for me for when I re-start lure fishing, but seeing how well they film baits...... Roll on payday.
Re: water wolf christmas prezzy
well impressed with it .......just needs tweeking here and there make sure your main line is heavy .so if you snag you get the camera back......petestanley wrote:This was going to be a spring purchase for me for when I re-start lure fishing, but seeing how well they film baits...... Roll on payday.

That's my biggest worry mate. I'd get bloody twitchy with a hundred notes at the end of my rig. i might get a cheap snorkel too.
Re: water wolf christmas prezzy
A couple of questions mate, did the memory card come with it, and how do the batteries do? Last long enough to fill the memory card?
Cheers

That's the deal I've got saved. They all seem to be a quid or so under 120. At least you get a free lure!
Re: water wolf christmas prezzy
I know a £10-£14 lure for free as well as the camera for same rrp seems like a bargain to me. Don't know if the lures any good but from what I've used from the SG range chances are it's top notch.petestanley wrote:That's the deal I've got saved. They all seem to be a quid or so under 120. To be honest, I thought the price might drop a bit after Christmas, but savage gear must have a pretty tight rein over these, or the wholesale price is high to start with.
It's very strange how they are more or less the same price everywhere. You an usually find a retailer or two a few quid less. There's pence in all of them.

no mate you have to buy the memory card you can get them for a tenner or less I got a 32 gig bit for mine on offer at Tesco 16 sqid you charge the camera of your pc or telly takes about 30 mins, you can film for 4 hours off a charge make sure you get a micro memory card and adapter then just insert into your pc and into your files or plug into your telly in hd its awesome........ just watching a play back now and seen 2 pike already one of them looks a good unpetestanley wrote:A couple of questions mate, did the memory card come with it, and how do the batteries do? The quality of the images are truly fantastic. I paid $400 for my Aquavue 6 years ago and got loads of footage like the one below. Imagine how technology will be in another 6 years. Keep them coming Stubbo.

This is a cheap waterproof camera but still better quality than the Aquavue and only €49 , nice to see them swim away strongly down into the depths

hi tom
just make sure you rig it up properly pal
I have 80lb braid directly to the camera
a sort length of mono from the camera to your trace unless you know there are no snags ...say 30lb ish mono and strong swivels
try to keep the bait say within 30 inches of your camera its trail and error at first
I put 3 or 4 swan shot directly behind the camera on the braid to slightly angle the camera when its on the bottom
and I use the small weight on the camera
and I know it sounds daft ...don't forget to turn it on before you cast it out ....like I did
at the moment its all quite new to me aswell
thinking about putting an inline feeder in front of camera to bring in a few bait fish ....which might bring the pike theres alsorts of possibilities
have fun

I've seen a video where its under a float with a roving livebait on. Don't know how it was set up but looked good as well.
