hi all just joined the forum
just started pike fishing after carp fishing for the last 7 years,
i have stated well already catching a 16lb , and 4 small jacks! must say pike fishing is really refreshing, with wot i think is still a very much unfished for fish compered with the carp! , I ave been reading the forum as a guest and already got some great advice of the forum.

alright young un welcome to the forum.glad you enjoying pike fishing.but believe me pike are anything but under fished on some waters.

Believe me Brookie, that statement is SO true.
In some areas overfishing for pike has totally ruined the sport.
If you come across a productive water by all means let other members know about it but please use PM.

welcome Brookie from a newer member.....take it your avatar picture is the 16pounder?
Interesting that youve come over from Carp fishing, not one ive tried.Ive caught plenty of Tench on sweetcorn on a disused Canal in the past.
Pike have almost always been elusive when ive fished for them, might give it another go & see if my luck changes & any advice from members on here is always most welcome

Ha Ha, no. I like photography & went to an oraganised photo shoot at Stockley Bird of Prey Centre near Warrington Cheshire. This was a Bengal Eagle Owl if i remember rightly. If & when i'm ever good enough to catch another Pike, i will post a photo of it & I.

mate reason why i asked i use to breed birds of prey ect.av you seen a european eagle owl,they are a beast.
