Loch Ness Advice Needed
Hi guys,
I am planning a trip to Loch Ness next week and am hoping to get a bit of time to cast a few lures. Do any of you know what the deal is with fishing on the Loch in terms of getting permits, rules etc? Also are there any other places to fish in the area?
Best Wishes

hi, it's free to fish for pike. i'd say either inverness side or down by drumnadrocit.

You might find this hard to believe, But in the late 60s i was fishing Ness, And i was using a beachcaster with 60Lb line on my reel, And after about a 100 or more casts i hit into what i thought was a monster, Anyway my Rod Snapped off just in front of the handle, Then that evening we were having a meal at the place we were staying at, And everyone was telling each other fishing stories as they do, But there were a couple of Scientists there and they explaind to me what they thought happend, And they said that the bed of the Lock was covered with dead trees, And as they rotted they filled with gas, Then when the old tree or log became so boyant it would rise to the surface, And this was what i had hooked in to, And as they let the gas out they become heavy again and sink, Just my luck, But my heart was going like a goodunMrMakk wrote:oh it was you????????????paddy pike wrote:Alex were you there when i hooked that big b@@ger
