Fly Flingers
Are there any fly flingers on this site?
If so, are there any fly flingers in the South Manchester/NE Cheshire/High Peak area?
Does anyone fancy having a try at Pike Fly Fishing?

Re: Fly Flingers
Never tried fly fishing for anything but always willing to have a go. How does fly fishing for pike compare to lure fishing? Are they equally succesful methods or would one out fish the other? I would imagine the presentation of a fly would be similar to a very slow sinking jerkbait but I stand to be corrected as I have no experience of it.

Have done a bit of fly for Trout in Lake District & on the River Barle on Exmoor. Never tried for Pike, until a few weeks ago didn't know it was possible

Re: Fly Flingers
It seems to be a very good method for those that use it. Bob Church has had an enormous number of pike on the fly as was reported in the angling press earlier this year. I imagine it is like any type of fishing in that once you start looking into it you will be opening up a whole new way of catching that you wonder how you ever went without it. Semms like a great excuse to buy more "essential" fishing tackle.
