pics of pike
I normally like to hold them in a true vertical position Kell whilst kneeling down cause they look HUGE like that, but i do also take a Horizontal pics as well as a comparison.
A chin grip like hurricane uses is what i prefer.

Re: pics of pike
I prefer to use a "chin grip" with the pike vertical "ish".
This I find gives a decent graph and I am totaly confident at having full control of the fish.
The "throat grip" with the fish held horizontal does tend to make the fish look bigger.
Have seen plenty from unusual angles that look good and also add variety to your album.
But always remember to comb your hair first or get good with photoshop

Blimy Father Christmas with a pike!!!
Nice pike there Peter and some very useful info on picture taking. I must remember to hold any future pike like that, I also like to see facial shots of the pike with mouth open etc.

Had a "static" on the banks of the Severn just outside Bewdley for many years,so met him in the pubs and on the banks a fair few times and he is a good bloke and a proper angler, not as good looking as me but hey ho.matt859 wrote:yeah thats the sort of thing I mean, a roach's last view.
