New Pike Rod.
Looking to purchase one or two new pike rods. Having sold my carp gear earlier in the year (because pike are the one!) and having a bit of a break, other than the occasional lure fishing wander, im looking for a suitable rod for both dead bait ledgering and float fishing canals, drains, resevoirs and pits. Im thinking 2.75tc a better option as to not be over gunned on smaller waters..
Could anyone suggest 2.75tc rods for under 80 quid each!? or if you suggest a higher test curve please advise!
Ive been looking at the fox warrior pike or the greys prowla gs..
Cheers!

Re: New Pike Rod.
bigger is better as you wont struggle with big baits or on big waters, try doing it the other way round though with light rods and you will soon end up wishing you bought 3.25 or more
my bait rods range from 2 to 5.5 tc and in all honesty the tc isnt always a great reflection of what the rod will do take my 2lb rod which is a century cannon a great rod for a float fished dead or pat set up, it wont though throw a foot long herring and 5 ounce of lead which you dont even notice on the heaviest one i use (century big bertha) so take your ppick but if i was limited to one set up it would be big tc's any day of the week
