Anyone had any problems with fox carboflex. Over the last month, trace has snapped twice just below top hook. Not sure if its the product or the way i tie my traces. However both fish snapped below top hook as they went into the net, so landed both fish. Definitely not the size of fish, the brownie (7lb 11oz) and pike 12lb 8oz. Not having this problem with other trace materials. Your views will be welcomed, but cant trust this material, which is a shame.

Are you twisting or crimping?

Crimping, but not breaking at the crimp. Its at the top hook, i thread throught the hook eye, leave tail down to the bottom hook, pull top trace wire (leads to swivel) back down round one of the hook bends wrap round the hook shank and up through the eye to the top swivel. (sorry if description is as clear as mud)

Thanks Mad Bad Angler, interested in other views. Do you make your treble rig in the same way? Have emailed Fox, will be interesting to see what they say. They were not the most helpful when my Fox scales packed up.
However i do love their products. Any views on Greys 49 strand, i have reverted back to the 7 strand this weekend as the first time the fox csrboflex snapped, i thought it may have been a one off, however a second time when hunting a big big girl – it has been binned to make my links for pop up baits. You cant take the risk.
