anybody been out this weekend

has any body been catching much over the weekend

i was out on saturday, weather forecast didnt look good but it was a fine day but only 1 or 2 degrees. had 3 small pike and lost 1 that felt bigger. i would guess up in the north of scotland its getting close to, if not already the time when the bigger pike become very static almost in hibernation. so unless a boat is available its probably not worth heading to the usual good spots unless you know of good spots in winter. was hit with hail stones a 4pm just intime to pack up and defrost my fingers.

i fish north of inverness normally

Had 1 hour............ 1 fish, so was happy with that.

Ventured out on local river on Sat and had 5 runs but only 2 fish........both 18's though so well chuffed.

Yes I was down the Rother at Newenden, lost two and eneded up blanking.
