Need Help on beat trout water lures!!!
Hi All, we are going away this weekend to a trout water. Got some nice pike in it, but i am blanking on lures massively at the moment. Mad Bad says i have chance of Trout on lures but wondered if anyone has any tips on which spinners/lures to use. I would like to catch a fish, any fish at the moment.

Hello MBW
1. Try spinnerbaits and reel them in as slow as you can. You'll feel the blades beating on the retreive.
2. If the weather is dull and there is a ripple on the water than give surface lures a go. They are not just a summer option as would be easy to believe.
3. Don't give up. Keep moving about, swapping lures and trying the same spots again an hour or 2 later.
Well done giving them a serious go MBW. Its easy to sit behind a pair of deadbaits all day but the REAL anglers will go out and HUNT those fish down
Gregs advice is good too. The toby lures and other spoons and spinners are always a good choice.
Hope you catch loads

Re: Need Help on beat trout water lures!!!
what trout water is it you can pm me with it if you feel comfortable doing that ive fished a few and friends have fished others
lure wise
kussamo professors or the fox copys i would never set foot on a water without these in copper/silver
fox gremlin if the water is deep enough
ace hell tail or fox demon for deep water again
they are ok for water between 15-25 ft the gremlin works deeper than the hell tail
replicants i hate the things but they work and are good for deep water again
any shaft style lures you have usually big erratic working things like the ace sorcy, grim reaper the fox bull nose but it tends to work more as a glide bait
jakes grandmas bombers shouldnt be ignored if your fishing shallower water along with ace sweet shads for a nice glide bait
the bombers will be good to about 4 feet (if they are floating ones)
jakes and grandmas are almost the same but the jakes rise faster when paused aand will be good in the 6-8 feet region (maybe shallower or deeper dependant on the length)
shallow invaders a fantastic hybrid lure againg shallowish working there is a deep invader though and a fox copy which is far cheaper but doesnt work anywhere near as well
squirrely burts work well for some again you can by copys from fox at a fraction of the price but yet again they dont work wuite the same, mind you burts dont ou of the box they generally need fiddling with to get right
