roll on the new river season

can't wait for the rivers to open, have a few ideas to try

me too pal, can't wait. usually a couple of rods out for the Barbel but always one out for the odd pike that may be lurking around.

Always look forward to the rivers opening; it’s what I call proper fishing , done a few walks along river banks and found a couple of spots that look interesting for tench and bream but now the suns out they will become unfishable.
Done the checks to make sure no club has taken over the rivers I fish and the answer was NO so everything is still peachy in Lincolnshire   .

That's my plan too, it's gonna be my first ever barbel session got new rods n reels for it, but taking a lure rod so when I blank for barbel I can go for a pike

Roll on Monday, my first trip out since the end of last season, can't wait.
