oh dear, where to go
Just had a call from an old friend who has a gravel pit, he said I could fish there whenever I like. So do I go the the lake Ive been planning on all week or switch fire and go to the pit?
Im not sure of the stock in the pit and the access could be quite rough and I don't want to spend ages looking for suitable areas etc....
Help!!!

Its dilemma we all face and a new water makes the decision harder. I would go for a new water that fish of a lifetime
maybe lurging in its depths.

gravel pits can be tuff nuts to crack without any info I have had my fair share of pits gravel / sand pits some quite big ones too
if you have not got any idea where to start , try to find some features spend a day walking around maybe plumbing up, look for all the usual clues like grebes diving in the same area , that has paid off for me many times
also try a drifter float to cover more area livvys if you can, find the weed beds don't be scared of putting a bait actually in the weed...too
sunken cars are a good attraction as you have seen the vids matt

I shall be bumbling around with a lure rod and some old lures next weekend. A cruel twist of fate stopped me going this past weekend. I shall take a camera and a notebook too.
Cheers for all the tips and encouragement lads.
It might be a suitable venue for a social perhaps.......
