New fly Rod... Empty New fly Rod...

fly rod have gone with the Wychwood PDR, only reason I went with this rod was price and the only other Wychwood product I have is the rover bag that is really well made and serving me well over the years so hope the rods are just has good.

And now I have a drop shot rod Very Happy . but all the gear no idea comes to mind, we will see.New fly Rod... Img_2210

Have been out four times had two blanks and five fish the other two times, i feel am getting good at only catching jacks but you can only catch what's in front of you. I did have a adie moment when I was about to unhook a fish when a kingfisher caught my eye on the opposite bank the pike flipped and bit me finger Surprised

As for the new rod it cast ok it handles the fish have had with no problems  but need a bigger fish really, it feels a little stiff but was casting a #3 weight all summer so a few more outings needed.
