Re: Efforts from the weekend
A nice looking Pike weldone,. I may be wrong but from looking at the picture just a bit of advice would be to get some rear drop offs if you are straight legering and not a float legering
Just to identify drop back bites and avoid a deep hooking situation.

Re: Efforts from the weekend
Right then quick update for the weekend, stepped out of the house around 6 struggled all day long, moved venues for which i was also met by a hoard of pike anglers lining the bank (Whom all blanked). And then towards the back end of the day i was met with this little beauty, fought well, and was a tremedous looking yet small fish. Next update tomorrow evening when i try the canal 1 min from my house.

HA HA bradfordlad
I actually meant, the fish seem to feed from 11 (ish).
I'm interested in hearing the report from the canal, otter.
I've never fished it any further than Barnby Dun (any angling not just pike).

Better luck next time mate.
Its been a tad nippy, you deserve a fish for trying in this weather. Mind you, it was a nice sunny afternoon.

Re: Efforts from the weekend
Went in search of fishable water yesterday but couldn't find a stretch that wasn't iced over!!!
...........guess I will just have to spend the day sorting my tackle out, tying flys, and watching other people catch fish on the tele???

This weekends effort!
Blanked apart from a 1lb Perch. Temp was -4 when I left, nice and sunny though and really expected at least a run.....
but nothing!
May try the same venue again on Tuesday.!
