Pop up rigs

When fishing pop up rigs, has anyone tried them with eel section or lamprey sections which are 2 of my confidence dead baits but have only used them on bottom running rig set ups.

whole lamprey works very well popped up with the head up off the deck and the tail still touching. i got that tip from a john wilson article. will see if i can find a link.

Many thanks , will put one rig out tomorrow on them, just took them out the freezer into the cool bag ready for tomorrow, will fish them against a roach kebab set up to see which produces, tried sea baits on my new venue last week but only had a couple of "bleeps" on smelts

normally good bait smelts ......have you tried them blueys .....yet

If I'm using pop ups I'll use polly balls or balsa sticks but have found lamprey works very well injected with air.
