Day ticket waters near London

Hi,

This question has probably been asked numerous times so apologies, but does anyone know any day ticket waters in or around London where I can lure fish?

I don't mind whether it's a lake, river or canal.

North and East of London is probably be easisest and the closer to London the better. Heading to the River Lea tomorrow for the first time but hear it get's pretty crowded. Might be a bit frustrating spinning if every peg is filled.
