thanks noodle, i was kinda looking for new ideas and ways of using a float aswell. i see you're using trebles there, im thinking of moving away from them cause last week because of the way i hooked up my sardines my hooks became hidden and i had about 7 pike on and banked 2, but on sunday i only had one take and my hooks and trace were clearly visible in the exact same spot and same weather conditions, although i was using different baits mackerel section, herring and sprat. i was using a red and black float on one rod and as i was staring at it a pike surfaced right beside it, as if it was going for the float so if there was plenty pike going about are the wise to the hooks?. its a road side loch and would see plenty fishing.
