Frozen half sardines
Hi
Theres a little supermarket near me that do a frozen bag of half sardines (all tail end) which look to be quite small, only a few inch long and theres no guts and bits inside for £3. First impressions said no and i went for the bag of full frozen sardines, about 10 a bag again for £3. Now ive given it a bit more thought, maybe the small half sardines might not be so bad, if im carful and set it up on a float rig then maybe i could fill the hole where the guts were with predator oil/groundbait??
thoughts?
cheers

Re: Frozen half sardines
sound ok for prebaiting thaw them out and mash them up with some groundbait sounds like they would work for perchmicpiker wrote:Hi

Re: Frozen half sardines
you can make a whole sardine into a half sardine but you cant make a half into a whole. Buy the whole ones, they will have more oil inside and if you do fancy giving a halfer a try you can always cut one of the wholes. I like to cut my baits diagonally as it will leave a larger surface area leeching out blood and oils etc.
