Braid to suit 2-10g rod
I'm buying my kids an abu Garcia vendetta spin each(lovely looking rod). Just wondered what size line, trace and snap tackle to use

10lb braid with 15lb wire is what i use for my lightest (3-18g bushwhacker) or if you fish snaggy waters or rivers, up the braid to 15lb and a 20lb wire,
I use these clips for past couple years for my light to light/med setups.

as for swivels I use size 16, not to small for me to struggle tying knots with my stubby fingers but no to big to make the trace unbalanced.

10-20lb power pro 15-20lb wire either caliber wonder wire or drennan 7strand coated and I use stainless rings rather than swivels to join the wire and braid less weight to impact on tiny lures.
Also I use fc with small jigs and singles when im targetting chub or perch in waters with lower chance of jacks hitting the lure on two waters I use fc as low as 6lb as there is an almost zero chance of pike where ther is an outside chance and by outside ive caught maybe on or two in ten yeats lure fishing ill use 20lb fc. Its not pike proof by any means but the small lure small singleand slightly more robust leader means should I hit a pike (twice now) I land it as the lure tends to hook up in the scissors.
Im not advocating using fc for pike as I have had it bit through in far heavier strains and anywhere that I have caught a few pike from or dont know whats in there wire gets used.
Oh another one wire is always used whenever a hard lure or trebles are involved even down to the tiniest of tiny king yo koaka's and snap beans
