so you want a bait box to fill with bait that you wont use during your session? A small hardwearing coolbox (the sort that will fit six pop cans in) will be ideal. As for bait get a pike pack (which has several different types of fish in) and a quids worth of sardines. Fill plastic drinks bottles with water and freeze them for ice blocks. Pike sessions are generally only daytimes and you will have plenty of options and bait with the above.

Pack separately in tin foil
And buy a large thermos
With a wide opening
They will stay frozen even on long sessions

For overnighters or day sessions where the weathers mild I use 1 of the crane bait bags from Aldi with loads of freezer blocks and for day sessions in colder weather a couple of the insulated shopping from asda with a couple of freezer blocks keeps them fresh.

Re: best session daitbait coolbag/box
For long sessions ie weekends, get one of the polystyrene boxs that pet shops receive dead rodents in (snake food), They nearly give them away but they are large, baits last 2 days easy with just one ice pack in with the baits, probably fit 16 sardines in one 12" by 12" box. For day sessions I use a small coleman cool box that I put 12 baits in and a freezer block, I then put that in a carp style cool bag and half a dozen baits in there. Use the half dozen etc first and the others will be as solid as the minute you put them in if you dont open the coleman box. Double insulated really. Hope this helps.
bait bag
have a look at the aqua products theres a cracker that takes the packets of frozen baits perfectly without the bulkiness off a box
bought one myself 3 weeks ago well chuffed with it

If you are only going to use it for a days piking or two days why not get something like this one Click link >>> Sonic cool bag <<<
I have a cool bag about the same size and it keeps my bait fresh for two days bait is still part frozen up to around 16 hours ish
I fill the bag with bait and put it in the freezer and freeze the bag as well as the bait and then it will last a bit longer
I use one a bit smaller if I'm only fishing for the day
