Re: chew tickets
Did you see in the Angling Times that someone paid £880 on Ebay for a days boat fishing on Chew Valley.
It got me thinking what would poeple here pay for a days fishing. There is a lake in Ireland that charges 100 Euro
for a days boat fishing.

Yes it is. I fished there (Loch Glass) a few years ago when you could fish if you stayed at the lodge. Last year I try to negotiate two days fishing for €100 and staying at the lodge for two nights - they nearly said yes but knocked me back at the last minute!
It was a shame as it is a really nice place to fish with lots and lots of good size pike.

Re: chew tickets
It was the people that run Chew that had at least 4 ads on ebay ebay yes one went for £880 😨😨😨 next one went for £400 plus can't remember full amount but it was well over £400 I think they are getting too greedy plus it's not fair to everyone that we're day on the phone for hours or even says trying to get a ticket 😩 There's some desperate people out there trying to catch a monster pike 😕 not my idea of piking
Re: chew tickets
Greed and more Greed. Its a shame its come to that kind of money but I guess top quality in anything is expensive They used to stock lots of Pike in there Psion from all round Ireland. All the small trout waters have a few matches a year and remove all Pike caught, usually big ones too. Last week a 34lb was caught and put in a local canal FFS.
Re: chew tickets
6 more days ended today all but 1 went for around £250, not as bad as £880 he must be kicking himself now
