Collectors or users ☺☺☺

I seem to have become addicted to buying lures, not actually using them that much lol. Lets see who is the worst hoarder of all things shiny and rattly lol. I guess i have a couple of hundred. Is that roughly what all addicts have

I have everything from westin in every colour
Plus several hand built jerkbaits
But they all carry tooth marks

I am seriously fancying a few mike the pikes,  they look great lures.  do they catch though Dave?

Heres about 3/4 of my lures.  I would guess that more than half will have never seen a fish,  never mind hooked one lol.

if your looking for my favourite lure  it's the platypus teez tail using the normal tail (cold)
And the jatte teez tail with curly not paddle when warmer especially fished in short bursts with long pauses (with increased size hook to make slow rising)

And the west in swim is a beautiful piece of kit  it swoops well on its own but with a bit of practise you can steer it thru plants and obstacles it catches less than the other 2 but the takes on this are brutal
If they want it they will come from far to get it with great aggression and as with all jerks misses happen but they will come back several times for it

I believe Mike is a bit over rated but it's a beautiful piece of kit
But for my money I'd buy the three above for near same price as a big Mike
But for trolling my money's on a the rawbite in 15 as it goes deep well and goes straight as an arrow even at quite some speed
And FYI. I am not sponsored by westin in any way their stuff just gives me confidence
And All of it catches

Very nice lures for sure dave, the top one looks like a zalt copy, and the middle one is very like the savage hard pike/eel with changeable tail. theres very little thats new on the idea front but little things just give them the edge. The best trolling lures i like are the Bucher depth raider jointed 8".

Ricky roach on the other hand is a steady catcher
my spouse does really well with it

I used to buy lures on a weekly basis but eventually the penny dropped and I realised you just need the right ones, I make my own now and rarely buy any.

Hi just picked up some Canadian waggler lures has eny one tried them. I think they are older still in the box tho

The thing about lures is that they all claim to be the best
And when times get hard we blame the lures and start switching around
We buy a lot of them but there will never be one that always works
So despite me having a large assortment
And it all swims on regular basis but at waters edge I check conditions (clarity amount of light and what's available
Food wise for the pike +temperature) and chose my bait and colour for the day
And usually sticking it out has landed me big girls

best not get my lures out again it took me  2 hours to put them back,
fished a lot of lures over the years , and my favourite is the replicants types in the bigger sizes, but I do like a surface lure in a frog pattern, and a big fly type lure on the fly rod takes some beating ........ yes I am a lure addict but come September /October they do get wet....
