Am I insane?

Doing a night session on the trent tomorrow night.Am I insane?Is anyone else out on the banks?

was gonna do a allnighter but its dropping to -5 in the night that put me off
i dont enjoy thinking if i fall alsleep im going to die anymore lol

out very early tommorow bait will be in water first light

Anybody know what's best for stopping rod rings from freezin,I'm thinking De-icer,wd40,vodka.Anybody tried any of these and will they melt/damage the line?

ive used vasaline before last time i was out when it was really cold the greese in my reels felt like it was freezing up

we used to use"muscline" grease(fly fishing tackle) in rings in icy conditions,drawback is that your line will float.

I was out yesterday for a day session and I had a north easterly wind blowing in my face and the snow lashing it down with the temperature hovering above freezing.
This other angler turned up and said he was going home and I must be 'hardcore' ! lol !

I think its all down to having the right clothing on.

Not just the correct clothing I think (although that is a very important part of it). Having the right frame of mind plays a big part too..
