Which mono to buy? Empty Which mono to buy?

Well I'm needing to change the old line on three of my spools as the line is old!
What mono do you guys recommend and to what poundage, I've got around 15lb on at the moment and to be honest I think I need more than that.

What do you guys think?

Hi RP. When i used mono, i always used Berkely Big Game line. Superb stuff, never let me down. 15lb bs is what i would recommend really.

Have you looked at the option of Braid. Ive been using it for 3 months now and i have to say its good stuff. Much better connection on a strike. Power Pro is about the best you can get. Its expensive (£ 35 - £ 40 for 500yds ) but once your used to the "non stretch" of it, you wont wanna go back to mono.

Braid for me now !

As with all tackle everybody has thier own favourite but for me its 15lb Daiwa sensor, its not the thinest or the most supple but it"s tough as old boots and cheap as chips,I also use it in 25lb for catting.
Never let me down.

Ive got some expensive braid on the 4th spool, it's nice in every way but when you're fishing a river or a canal with a large tow and quite weedy then it bunches up on the braid and causes a horrid mass of weeds which need pulling off Sad

Said this a few times before on here but Pro Logic XLNT in 18lb is the dogs danglies as far as i'm concerned. Tough as old boots but still a low diameter line, supple and goes on the spool perfectly. Plus 1000m is about £10

Awesome stuff.

Well just so you guys know, I want is a line that doesn't have a memory so that I don't end up with spools of line twisting off. Also I'd like it to be good for knots and pretty tough.

I think we will all say different mono mate, so just go with what feels right for you. I still think Berkely Big Game cause ive had good experience with it, but you gotta decide.
