Fished both Nick, and they are equally as good for me, both are scenic, full of wild life and pretty girls, and the Pike are not bad too.

I've never been to Ireland so can't comment, but I some of the love Scottish waters: loch awe, loch ken and loch ness have all produced quality fish for me in the past.
Just check the forecasts carefully if you get out in a boat though...it's pretty unpleasant being stuck on a boat in gale force winds and driving rain as i found out myself on my first trip to loch ken.

Are you basing this on the company you've kept or the fishing, which is the crux of the question and by the way Adie, we have Guiness too, along with phones, electricity, flushing toilets and even cars!!....

very very wrong its brewed either in dublin or runcorn and sent both ways to be packaged so some of it comes to england to be canned/bottled/kegged then goes back to ireland again, depends on the type and the time availability of plant transport costs of the bottles (come from spain portugal etc)
used to be stock control for diageo until mid last year when i left with redundancy
most from runcorn is take home trade and export most of the original come from dublin draught stuff is done at both breweries

Love the stuff, got some in my freezer from my recent work I did in Perth.
Must say that the locals were REALLY friendly and when I mentioned I'm a pike fisherman everybody was giving me the same "best place ever for pike, up here"
One day I will return with my pike tackle.
