Alternative to Fox Rigging wire
I have been trying pop-up poly-balls to suspend deadbaits and often need a piece of fine wire to attach the poly-ball to the trace, so I had a look at the Fox rigging wire spools, but at about four pounds fifty for five metre's I decided to search for an alternative. I tried TLC electrical wholesalers and bought a reel of tinned copper 5 amp fuse wire for about six pounds, the reel contains two hundred and eighty five metre's, that works out at fifty seven spools of Fox rigging wire which would cost around two hundred and fifty six pounds. A spool of the fuse wire is enough for a lifetimes Pike fishing but could easily be shared among a group by winding some onto old trace wire spools.
