had to get the fish back in the water sharpish as I had her out long enough removing the hooks

did not want to risk harming such a big fish by faffing about getting to the bank for a pic with myself holding ... shame though.. ha ho Very Happy

It happens when you least suspect
Was out making a shopping run with the wife
She wanted to go by her friends boutique witch (luckily for me)
is next to a small marina of a canal
She went in and I pulled my rod out of the trunk seeing as I has 15 to 20 minutes
Pulled my pb out on second cast

it weighed 34lb in the net

and i thought the net and handle would be about 4lb ish

but when weighed later on in the day it was only 2lb

when I look at the photos the fish does not look its weight, but like I said I was on me own and could not get the trophy shot I wanted

the fish had been out long enough for me ,so back it went , can honestly say I have never had a fish bend my rod so hard and fast and it kept deep down , nearly lost it around some anchor ropes twice....

had one of the boat 12lb , talking to the guy on the way off he had the 29lb fish...... well deserved fish as he fishes it a lot.... Very Happy
