Lake District Empty Lake District

Post  adamscott Sat Mar 21, 2009 2:55 pm

I'm going to be fishing this week at a lake that has the bait restrictions.

What I am unsure of is.........under the restrictions of using sea-deads only is Smelt classed as a freshwater or sea bait?

Can't seem to find it on the net.......or is it just me???

I would always class smelt as a sea fish.

I believe Lamprey are contentious, as they spend some of their life in Freshwater & some in Saltwater.
