Hi all, How about us all getting together one Saturday or Sunday for a days Piking? I know of a couple of places that fish well for pike so we will all be in with a chance of a pike or two.

LOL....thanks. I'd be asking a lot to expect everyone to drive all the way up here but if anyone is planning a trip up to Scotland, by all means get in touch and I'll see if I can get along for a little get together.

Nice one Jimmy. I'm in the Southside of Glasgow so if that isn't dragging you too far out of your way, I'll take you up on that offer if something a little closer to home comes up. Nice one.

Re: Forum members pike trip
Things went quiet on this...and i guess it's too late in the season now to arrange anything.
How about us trying to plan ahead with some dates for this coming winter season?
This would allow plenty of time for people to get organised and put dates in their diarys etc
Anyone think this is a good idea?
If so i'd be more than happy to help organise something.
It would perhaps be good to get a whole weekend somewhere so that it's worth the travelling time etc for those that would have to make longer journeys. Just a thought.

Venue would depend on how many were interested/location i guess. I'm sure there will be people that have their preferences...will just have to wait and see what everyone thinks about the idea first.

It's barely Springtime. It's hardly ice-cream and shorts weather just yet. You're not going to do the pike any harm fishing for them for MONTHS. Loads of time.....loads.

Re: Forum members pike trip
I just thought that if we plan well ahead then it would be easier for people to get dates sorted etc...
Also, as noted elsewhere on the forum, people are tending to think about targetting other species etc now.
Personally i'd fish anytime, i just thought allowing plenty of time to organise something would prevent the idea from fizzling out like it did last time...
I'm open to suggestions nothing is set in stone by any means

Tootal, as always i am up for a trip, as a starter for ten, how about Scotland 3rd weekend in April, 3 spare seats in my car travelling from Market Rasen, or the first weekend in October? as always getting every one together is very difficult name a date and lets do it.
