cracking day on new venue

Early rise for me and our kid this morning got there about 8 got sent up actually got lines in the water at 9 am abit of a walk to our chosen swim thought we had missed the boat really i like to be in the water first light but thats what happens sometimes when you fish a new venue....any way are kid got into a good fish from the off a 15lb fish a pb for him he was well chuffed with it then his next fish was agood scrapping 12lb fish well chuffed for him ....then sod me he was into another a good 10lb fish .Then it was my turn a fish of about 12lb considering our kid does not fish that often he was having a good day think he was happy at catching them pike then the big girl turned up for him gave him a really good fight staying deep all the time we finally got it over the net whot a relief got her in the weigh sling our kid was shaking with excitement i will try get the photos to you all tonight if a can get them off the camera he is still in shock.....l.o.l he broke his pb again twice in one day.....
