make of hook
I use sixe 4 azure hooks cost a small fortune but are sticky sharp but now i need to change make.
Had some snap on me some of the legs are missing when retrieved.had pike yesterday and when hooks remove one of my trebles was a double.
I only use titanium so would like sticky sharp strong size 4s anyone got any recommendations.

I use fox xs in 4's for nearly all my deadbaitinh kell and never had any issues with them. I find the gape just right and are always lovely and sharp out of the packet.

Re: make of hook
thats the prob i have with the owners/vmc etc as they do tend to be more brittle.

I sometimes use the vmc reds but only for my perch fishing - 1 under a loafer float with a livie. Had them snap on me with pike.

Re: make of hook
stubbo if you are happy with them thats fair enough but the first packet of them i bought 1 was missing the third 'trebble' and one snapped whilst playing what would have easily been my pb pike...just got no confidence in them at all. Seemed to be an issue with how the third trebble was welded onto the hook. Maybe i just had a bad batch but i wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now.

Re: make of hook
Used mustads for donkeys years and never had one let me down, when they became less eay to get hold of I changed over to VMC and again they served me well when they became difficult to obtain Iwent over to fox, great hooks but in a different price bracket.
I recently recieved some VMC Semi barbless via the internet at a very good price,on inspection I found that on every hook there was barbs on two out of the tree points,no major issue i simply flatten one but have never come across this before, has anyone else.

Re: make of hook
i have changed most rigs to red vmc so will try them for a while because i use these for perch and have never had a prob ?
i have some daichi red hooks so may make some rigs up with them but they are sticky sharp but feel like they could be brittle.
Going to take a look at the fox ones when i get to a shop as the sizes vary so much from manufacturer to manufacturer
