went on a local river a while back as i got out into the wilds came across quite a lot of e.es all fishing the free sections they know were the quite spots are out or the way of other anglers you can spot them a mile off before they open there mouths its the carrier bags that give the game away.... and the lack of proper tackle just the basics ..........

Get yourself a decent quality cool bag and a freezer block Drew. I take frozen baits with me and they stay like that all day so you get any wastage .................and no smells !! lol!

Nearly two thirds of the babies born in London have at least one parent who was born abroad, according to figures released yesterday.

They show that 64.7 per cent of children born in the capital in 2010 had an immigrant mother or father.

In two districts – Newham, in East London, and Westminster – more than eight out of ten babies had at least one parent born abroad.

Same in the West countrrry im afraid.

A Bailif of a local water, known to hold a 30lb+ Pike and numerous 20lb+ Carp, said just a few months ago that he arrived at the water to see about 15 Eastern European guys sat with fires on the bank (in the forest ... ) openly eating fish caught from the water and cooked straight on the fire ... its not had a massive effect on the lake as of yet but I fear it may soon enough.

Trouble is what can an 70+ year old baliff do to 15 Young eastern European guys, Dont say call the police as the whole of the Forest of Dean district seems to have a grand total of 6 police officers!!

By no means am i saying that 'All eastern Europeans eat our fresh water fish' but just saying thats who it was on that occasion

did anyone (local) see east midlands today tonight? bit about swans being killed / butchered at alvaston park in derby?
also a mention of fish being barbecued in the paper...
utter disregard for the law - its got to be addressed.

I quote ...Labour councillor Paul Bayliss, who also represents Alvaston, added: β€œIt is terrible, people should not be doing this.

Bloody Labour councillor, bloody hell, maybe he should cast his mind back to 2002 when his party opened the flood gates!

Is it not legal to take two fish for the table?

A quote from Mick Browns FB page.

Maybe we are getting somewhere! Just taken part in a film funded by the EA to highlight pike anglers concerns with the major problems I've been mentioning. Also a chance to get across pike conservation. Several other anglers involved, I'll let you know when its finished and where it will be shown. (Light at the end of the tunnel!).
