pike match 25th november

hi all
langold lakes near worksop are holding their first ever pike match on 25th november. search facebook for langold lake fishing as i can't post a link apparently.

lots of views and no replies? am i mistaken in thinking this is a forum? forums are usually where peeps chat about things?
anyhow details of the match if anyone is interested? i think it's open to anyone for the entry fee.

Chopped ham and pork product anyone?

Any way what's the difference between ham and pork, then where does bacon fit into it.
I'm not sleeping tonight now thinking about this

Bacon tastes good with brown sauce, pork with apple sauce n ham does ok in a salad roll with mayo apart fae that I've no idea

which brown sauce it has to be hammonds chop for me yum how thick the bacon slices

think i might give it ago rozzo

It dose not say if you are fixed to a peg or not as some some keep you locked to peg you draw. Do you think wobbling would be allowed with live bait lol
Just checked and our lass is working that day hummm now let me think a while (ok i have thought im going )

i think it'll be a peg draw but i also think they're well spaced. anyone thinking of going bear in mind that if you draw a peg on the wall you'll be needing a pod but will probably win the match. i'm off there this sunday to check it out and see if i can catch owt after all these years. i like the idea of the prize for biggest fish and for top weight. should be good. hopefully meet a couple of you over the coming season.
oh and anyone in donny i got som superb fresh sardines from the asda fishmonger,, about 6 inch length and only 3 quid odd for a kilo. i'll give em a go this weekend.

it will be i reckon kell. could be pretty successful too as they allow livebaiting as long as the bait is caught there but apparently not in the match. wobbling is the next best thing i guess. being a lazy sod tho i'll just use smelly popped up deads and wait for a big girl to snaffle em. and i'll take a few jerkbaits along that i've had success with in the past for if i'm feeling energetic

you might catch a few as they make there way to my peg to see what all the comotion is as i thrash langold into a merang lol

how many anglers do you think will turn up to fish the match is it a popoular pike venue kell would have a go myself but its a 2 hour drive unless i can get catchyfishey to come as well cut down on the petrol bill a bit .25th thats the sunday i will see what are kids upto on them dates. it might happen then it might not........

have not got a clue as to how many anglers will turn up and as for saying if you draw on the wall you will win the match lol some of the big girls like to lie in shallows ?
stubbo i have never fished the place so do not even know what it is like ? some more off here were supposed to be going but the fear of me throwing a savage real eel near them scared them pmsl.Got a 3lb salmon to wobble bet the big girls have not seen that before will still have lemon slices in ?

i'll go look at the lake on the saturday kell and if its still gin clear i'll report on here. think the lure boxes and multipliers will be going if its the same as this sunday. firetiger flavoured wood and plastic could be the way to go i reckon

Seems funny how they allow live baits in normal days but no live bait on a match
Dose the water colour up nick or dose it stay clear for winter ,
Was there much weed rozzo

didn't see any weed at all in the swim i was in kell,, just a few leaves off the bottom on my hooks. it used to be well weeded up and the folk who look after it did a lot of work to make it fishable. not sure about colour but thats the first time i've seen it that clear this year. have to see the day before i guess. if you fancy a trip out on the saturday before you could come down for a looksee? i'll go and walk round the day before and you're welcome to come along if you can get to rozzo.

think i'm going to chuck a few lures about in langold sunday and see if they produce. anyone fancy joining me?
