dave van dessel, that sounds like a great method of ensuring fish welfare and a quick release. Sadly the competitions here seem to have two like minded anglers in the same boat verifying each others catches so it is open to corruption. Where ever there's money involved there's people hell bent on cheating.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone, and some good suggestions too. I guess theres not enough competitions to threaten pike stocks its just sad to see and hear about. They will get a perfect method soon 3 days of MAN FLU, the very deadly type has kept me away but i am back now lol.

at least the pike could relax for 3 days .....
