Its a bloody shame , this bad weather has ruined loads of of fishing, we have missed 2 pike matches at cellars,
we have a match every 3 weeks or so and always have a few bob rolling over either for the gold top and if no one catches her it goes on the biggest of the pike matches normally have them till end of march.
I just hope it thaws in time for you all to come down, but we can always book you a date in feb, same as before, some food, tea/coffee. but I leave it up to your good selves to decide, adie just let me know what you decide.
you know sue and me will push the boat out Very Happy Very Happy or should that be sleighs Very Happy

They might want to give the ice a helping hand Adie. Have you seen the Angling Times? Walton Hall Park Lake has lost lots of carp, apparantly due to the ice cap.

walk round every day, hav'nt seen any signs of floaters,(dead fish) Very Happy but adie has said we have water from the river running in down the inlet, and we have a outlet so theres plenty of fresh water in,we have been breaking the ice and putting feed in for the past few days, it is thawing but not as fast as we were hoping for, but it was frozen solid for 5 weeks about 5-6ins deep its about 3ins now, with loads of water and slush on top of ice,
so long as we dont have a bad frost for the next few nights I think we may be ok to go sunday. but will update adie again wednesday afternoon after I've had a good walk round with steve the other bailiff.and the ress behind cellars is also still frozen, same with the canal, hilltop, and square dam. sorry folks.
