hi my name is john live in cheshunt hertfordshire have 4 kids 4 granchildren been fishing best part of 43 years only go after pike october onwards never catch many but enjoy the day out regardless biggest about 7 lbs plenty of small jack but enjoy watching the pike bung and i am still looking for the old type you wont believe how many tackle shops i have emailed without success when not pike i fish for anything but carp i usualy go upto littleport cambs about 6 times a year my mate had a couple of 9lbs pike i had 4 lbs but like to roach fish there but the last time all i was catching was rudd and i have never caught a rudd in the ouse work retired due to body being worn out when i was younger who says hard work dont hurt you no i am just unlucky but can never wait to get out fishing once a week and i do my metal detecting as well once a week well thats all for now or you will now more than me be lucky with the fishing john

If you can't get the floats you want, you can buy egg-shaped polystyrene from art-shops and stationers. They also stock polystyrene balls and balsa dowel. For a few quid, you could make all the floats you want. A child's paint brush (about 30p) makes a good peg for the bung or you could make some inline bungs with some John Roberts Rig-Tubing.
