mepps spinners

just wanted to no witch type and size ov mepps other people use? 4 pike
size3 red&blue comets seem to be working 4 me Very Happy

Spinner-wise, I make all my own but the Ondex or the Mepps Lusox, Aglia Decorees are good choices.

I have 2 old mepps, my first ever lures my grandad gave me, bazz knows em fer having a treble off so they are doubles, most my perch are caught on em

large ondex are the best spinners i have EVER used for pike in shallow water.... they dont cast well because even in the largest size they are still only lightweight but they dont half put out vibration Very Happy

a couple of wraps of solder or lead wire round the base makes em cast better without messing the lightweight bit up too much

Base just before the hook joint?

Sounds like a plan. My size 6's always come with me, even if its just 1 on a quick session.
