Re: buying braid
I use Power Pro bought from ebay. A bloke called "fishing tackle online" has it about half retail price in all colours, strengths and spool sizes and usually get it in a couple of days. I pay about £20 for 300yds. Ebay US has it even cheaper but youve got to wait to get it shipped.
Only used power pro so couldnt comment on other brands.

you can get power-pro on e-bay 300yds up to 50lb for £17.50 from a seller halibut, its a top braid , used berkely fireline dont think its as good as power-pro though,

penn's good but i actually prefer fireline.... like all berkeley lines it breaks at alot higher strain than is stated on the spool AND it behaves alot more like mono on the spool than conventional braids too!!!

I've not caught anything on it yet but im really impressed with it for casting its very smooth and seem to cast better than mono !!
I also got mine off ebay for £22.88 plus £1.99 postage

Another vote for Power pro...just one question. What's it going to be used for? Lures or bait fishing?
